Guest | A number of years ago I purchased a 1909 Argentine Mauser in 7.65 Argentine. This rifle is beautiful. The action is smooth as silk, the bluing is original and 95%. The bore looks as though it just came off the rack brand new. The stock is in great shape with just a few 'character' marks. There are no import stamps anywhere. ALL parts have the same 4 digit serial number. The Argentine crest is stamped on the ring. The cleaning rod has an anchor stamped on the end of it. I believe this would be because it was actually issued to the Argentine Navy. On the reciever is stamped 'Mauser Modelo Argentino 1909' and 'DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN BERLIN'. The seriaL NUMBER IS k 7982 (on all parts including the stock) Can anyone tell me what the value of this rifle might be. Also, what can anyone tell me about the rifle from the stampings and the serial number. I paid 265.00 for this piece and I realize it probably isnt worth this much, however, it would take considerably more to take it off of my hands. Deo Vindice Resurgam SouthNat |
